Lexus LF-30 - a New Vision for Electric Cars

The Lexus LF-30 is more than a concept vehicle. It brings forth ideas and technology that can serve as a guideline for electric cars in the future. Besides being environmentally friendly, the Lexus LF-30 electrified guarantees a dynamic driving experience like no other. Let's learn more about the exterior and interior design and the amazing features it will bring to the road.

Exterior Design

The design of Lexus LF-30 is something that you might not see every day on the road. The car has an exhilarating style and the futuristic design captivates your mind and senses for some time. The car concept looks ahead to 2030 and the outrageous looks and its technologies will not see the light of the day soon.

The LF-30 has a color-changing face that displays luminescent patterns to indicate whether the car is working on autonomous mode or manually driven. The blue-green hue of the "Voltaic Sky" metal-infused color coat complements the futuristic design of the car. The car does not have an opening bonnet. The characteristic spindle shape and the window glass extend from the front to the rear. The LF-30 comes with gull-wing doors.

Interior Design

The interior of the LF-30 has been designed to channel the fun of driving. The futuristic interior of the LF-30 mimics a first-class passenger seat of an airline. You get a large display in front that can be used to access different functions of the car. The glass roof area serves as protection from the outside environment and also acts as a "Skygate display" to show different types of navigational information.

Some of the noteworthy features of LF-30 is that you can adjust the opacity of the side windows. The absence of B-pillars facilitates entry and exit from the car for rear passengers. In the autonomous mode, the steering moves further making more space inside the cabin. The front seat layout is open and enveloping. The rear seats feature artificial muscle technology that molds to the occupant. The seat includes different modes like alert, relaxation and recline to suit the passenger's mood. The speakers are built-into headrest and also have a noise cancellation feature.

Engine

The Lexus LF-30 Electrified packs four electric motors, one for each wheel. This allows the car to move on the front or rear-wheel drive combination and all-wheel-drive if needed. The four electric motors generate 536 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. torque. The car can go from zero to 60 in a mere 3.8 seconds. The top speed of LF-30 is 124 mph. The electric motors draw power from 10-kWh battery pack mounted on the floor for better handling and center of gravity. The LF-30 can cover 311 miles between charges. The car supports wireless charging.

The Lexus LF-30 gives you an idea of what the vehicles in the future would look like. Though introduced as a concept vehicle, the ongoing trend and popularity of electric vehicles suggests you won't have to wait long to see or drive the Lexus LF-30.
